E major has four sharps and is the guitar's loudest key: the open low E under E, and A and B right beside it. Its chords are E, F♯m, G♯m, A, B, C♯m and D♯°. C♯ minor is the relative minor, E minor the parallel. Blues, rock and gospel all lean on it, and its E chord can use all six open strings.
